Hello

I’m starting a blog to showcase my artwork. If only I loved to share my thoughts openly as much as I love to create I would have started blogging a long time ago. For now, I’ll start with a series of illustrations recently submitted to minted.com for a contest. It would be amazing if I won so feel free to vote for me at http://www.minted.com. Thanks!

Some of these drawings have been sitting in sketchbooks for years. Over the past 2 years, I began a process of scanning, coloring and creating clipping paths on each of them in Photoshop. Time consuming? Very. But also a great way to wind down after a long day with baby.

To follow the size requirements of this particular contest, the images have been converted to vector art. This works well with many of of the drawings but not all, that is why the subject numbers are not consecutive. The fact that this series ultimately ended up as vector art is great. If I end up selling these pieces they can be reproduced at any size.
